Event Rules
All hunters are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, ethical, and meaningful hunt.
All participants must be registered by November 23rd at 11:59 PM.
Only antlerless deer (does) are eligible for submission.
All deer must be harvested legally and ethically according to Michigan DNR regulations.
All deer must be harvested on the day of the event. (December 6th, 2025)
Each registered hunter can bring one (1) doe to Apex Custom Butchering in Owosso, MI for weigh in and donation.
Each harvested deer must be brought to Apex Custom Butchering for weigh in by 6:30 PM.
All deer meat will be donated to local food banks after the event.
Participants must wear
hunter’s orange
at all times according to the MDNR.
No baiting, spotlighting, or trespassing is allowed. Violators will be disqualified.
Winner will be determined by the heaviest DRESSED doe
If there is a tie, tiebreaker will be whichever deer was weighed first.
Final tally and awards will be announced at the dinner.
